JORDAN – NICE MINT AND USED COLLECTION COVERING 80 YEARS of Jordan’s philatelic issues starting in the 1920s and going all the way into the early 21st century housed in a Scott international album. The stamps of Jordan accurately reflect the turbulent history of the country transitioning from colonial domain, and numerous British template stamps overprinted in Arabic terminating with very eye-catching, vivid designs from an independent Jordan later on. The collection includes close to 1,500 different mostly mint issues in between sporting countless souvenir and miniature sheets, namely high value souvenir sheets from the tumultuous 60s. Stamps of Jordan represent an intriguing saga which intertwines the royal family of King Hussein and designs celebrating local fauna, while parallel to that one would witness animosity with newly established state of Israel within the Arab world, as well JFK and even Valentina Tereshkova – all issued practically simultaneously. The collection includes very strong back-of-the-book section, as some of the most notable standouts include mint #1-11, 113-121, 130-144, 156, 167, 183, 184, 195, 199-206, 255-269, 306-318, 367, 528-528M, 531N, 534J-534K, 535-537D, 552-558,C49-C50, 576-590, 758-768, C26-C28, C42A-C42F, C43-C45, J12-J17, RA10, RA11, RA12, RA23-RA25, N2-N17, used #220, and numerous others, VERY FINE, mint og, many NH (we scanned only selection of more representative pages, roughly ½ of the collection)
