Live Internet Bidding Instructions
Earl P.L. Apfelbaum, Inc., in cooperation with Stamp Auction Network, broadcasts our Public Auctions live over the internet, allowing you to listen to the auction in progress and participate live during the auction, as if you were bidding in our auction room. All bidders wishing to bid live during the auction must be pre-registered and pre-approved with Stamp Auction Network and Apfelbaums.
If you are already registered at Stamp Auction Network and approved for internet bidding by Apfelbaum, all you need to do is log in at Stamp Auction Network and locate the Apfelbaum sale.
If you are not registered as a bidder at Stamp Auction Network, then you must go to http://stampauctionnetwork.com/register.cfm. Fill out the pertinent information and be sure to check the box next to our name, which is listed alphabetically under “E” for Earl. Once the form is completed, click on “Submit Registration” and you will hear back from us within 24 hours.
If you have registered previously at Stamp Auction Network but not specifically with Apfelbaum, go to http://stampauctionnetwork.com/register.cfm and click on “Update Registration” at the top of the page. Click the box next to our name, again listed alphabetically under “E” for Earl. Once complete, click “Submit Registration” and your information will be sent to us from Stamp Auction Network for approval. You will hear back from us within 24 hours.
Once approved for bidding, you must be logged in at Stamp Auction Network in order to participate.
If you would like to listen to the auction, you must be using Internet Explorer and you must install Active X (software needed in order to listen to the live auction). You will be instructed to download this if your computer does not already have it. There is a link towards the top of the page that allows you to listen to the auction. If you have an Apple Macintosh computer, you will be unable to listen to the auction. You can, however, still bid live.
Towards the top of the home page, there is a link that permits registered bidders to join the Public Auction in progress. Once you click on that, qualified bidders are automatically assigned a paddle number. You will be taken to the screen where you are watching the auction live. You will see the lot number and the current bid, which is constantly updated. If you would like to bid, just click on the increment that represents the amount you would like to bid. You will see your bid in green, all other bidder’s bids will be in red.
If you have any questions about the registration or bidding process, please do not hesitate to contact Missy Apfelbaum Knee at 800-523-4648, extension 111.
