FRANCE – Very attractive and well-rounded collection of a couple thousand mint and used issues featuring stamps from the very dawn of philately in the middle of the 19^th century and then running well into the modernity spilling into the teen years of the current century presented in seven nicely filled volumes! The collection is anchored by a very solid Scott Specialty album that features comprehensively populated classic section, as well as strong middle of the 20^th century semi-postal portion. The lot is further enhanced by a couple hundred first day covers primarily from the third quarter of the 20^th century! There is even a separate volume for imperf varieties! Very nice lifetime collection that is being offered as received and is sure to excite Francophiles among the collectors, even though legend has it French don’t use the word excited?! Gen.
